Enzymes

Enzyme ingredients for supplement manufacturing

Enzymes are used in specialist supplements and combination formulations. The range brings together different enzyme types and activity levels for manufacturers and contract manufacturers. Bromelain, papain and diamine oxidase are key examples within a much broader enzyme portfolio.

Bromelain, papain and other enzyme options

Bromelain from pineapple and papain from papaya sit alongside diamine oxidase, also known as DAO. Other options include lactase, lipase, protease, cellulase and alpha-amylase.

Several enzymes are listed in different grades with different declared activities, allowing selection around the intended formulation. The quantity of powder is only part of that choice: the stated enzyme activity and associated test method also matter.

Product specifications help explain these differences. Source, composition and any carrier ingredients are further considerations when choosing a grade. The plant origin of individual enzymes should not be taken to apply to the whole range.

Support with selection and sourcing

We advise on enzyme selection and provide the product documentation needed to assess the options. Purchasing and development teams can use this information to agree the required activity, form and composition.

Ingredient sourcing is supported by in-house warehousing and quality checks. Specifications and certificates of analysis provide a basis for internal assessment and approval of the selected grade. Questions about processing or stated storage conditions can be addressed using the relevant product documentation.

For a quotation, let us know the enzyme, activity level, intended application and quantity required. If a particular grade has not yet been selected, we can help identify the information needed to move the enquiry forward.
